Four years after a Miami OnlyFans model was accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend at their Edgewater condo, the case is expected to end after a possible plea agreement was reached.
Courtney Clenney is facing a second-degree murder charge in the April 2022 death of her 27-year-old boyfriend, Christian Obumseli.
Clenney has remained jailed without bond while awaiting trial.
According to the Prieto Law Firm, a plea agreement has been reached.
“Counsel can confirm that a plea agreement has been reached in State of Florida v. Courtney Clenney, the second-degree murder case pending in Miami-Dade County,” the statement said. “The terms of the agreement are not final until accepted by the Court.”
The firm said the specific terms of the agreement are expected to be placed on the record during a court hearing on Monday.
“We will reserve further comment on the specific terms until they are placed on the record before the Court on August 10, 2026,” the statement said. “The firm asks that the public and the media allow the legal process to conclude and refrain from speculation until the agreement is formally presented.”
The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office has described Obumseli as a victim of domestic violence, saying the couple had an extremely tempestuous and combative relationship.
Clenney’s attorneys have argued that she was the victim of an abusive relationship and stabbed Obumseli in self-defense.
The case has involved numerous hearings, including efforts by Clenney’s attorneys to dismiss the case and remove prosecutors.
An attorney representing Obumseli’s family also confirmed that there is a deal but said it would be premature and irresponsible to discuss the terms before the hearing.
Clenney, who used the name Courtney Tailor on social media, had more than 2 million Instagram followers.
