A 48-year-old man is in jail after police say he exposed himself to two girls who live in the same North Miami Beach apartment building.

According to police, the two girls were taking out the trash when they noticed their neighbor, identified as Eric Wilson, watching them.

The girls told police Wilson had his red shorts pulled down and exposed his genitals as they walked by.

They said they were too scared to return to their apartment and instead went to another door in the building. According to the arrest report, Wilson continued watching them from his balcony.

When officers responded, police said Wilson waived his rights and repeatedly stated that he had just returned home from work and did not make contact with anyone.

The arrest report also alleged this was not the first concerning encounter. The girls, ages 17 and 10, told police they had seen Wilson watching them before. The older sister told investigators she had previously seen Wilson watching through her window.

Wilson was booked into jail Sunday.

He is facing three charges in connection with the case, including indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.
