An investigation is underway in northwest Miami-Dade County after a woman was stabbed and robbed early Monday, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, at around 5:53 a.m., deputies received a report of a woman who was stabbed in the area of Northwest 70th Street and 27th Avenue.

Crews with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and took the woman to the hospital.

Her identity and condition were not released.

Deputies said that an unknown man approached the woman, started punching her, brandished a knife and then stabbed her. He then took the woman’s phone and fled the area.

No arrests have been made.
