A woman accused of providing unlicensed Botox treatments in Miami was arrested on Monday, authorities said.

Luisa Arteaga-Villalina, 59, was charged with practicing as a health care professional without a license.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies received an anonymous complain form the Florida Department of Health that Arteaga-Villalina was practicing medicine without a license; providing Botox and lip filler from her home.

An arrest report said the DOH verified that neither Arteaga-Villalina nor anyone who lived at the home was licensed to practice medicine.

During an investigation, an undercover detective scheduled an appointment with Arteaga-Villalina by using her social media platform, and an appointment was scheduled on Monday, the report said.

The detective, the report said, was quoted between $350 and $600 for the Botox and was going to get a final price after Arteaga-Villalina evaluated them.

Ten minutes before the detective’s appointment, two other undercover detectives went into Arteaga-Villalina’s home and met with her, the report said.

After they were evaluated, Arteaga-Villalina quoted one of them $300 for 20 units of Botox, and when she prepared the procedure to start, she was taken into custody.

Arteaga-Villalina was then arrested and taken to the Turner Guilford Night Correctional Center.
